Books and videos of early Japanese films (Ozu, Mizoguchi, Naruse, Gosho, ..)

On the Internet try Poker Industries, Facets and Home Film Festival.  Otherwise for many of these you'll probably need to investigate the gray market: tape-trading newsgroups, bootleg companies, etc.  In Atlanta Videodrome has some Japanese films that Movies Worth Seeing does not though generally not Ozu-type "art" films.  Also there's a Japanese video store in Friday's Plaza on Peachtree Industrial right outside the Perimeter but most of their tapes probably don't have subtitles.  (There's supposed to be another Japanese video store on Roswell Rd but I've never found it.)
