Just took a look at my Criterion disc, and whaddya know.  Thanks to Tom for 
opening my eyes to that one. I could have sworn it was in a wider ratio 
when I saw it in Auckland on the big screen a few years ago...I guess it's 
the kind of movie that uh, feels like widescreen even though it's only 4:3, 
erm, if you know what I mean.
