There’s no hard and fast rule, it depends on the film and who is 
distributing it. Some films get released in Germany that don’t get released 
in the UK; some films get released in the States and nowhere else etc.
Wow, it’s amazing to think that I saw AUDITION over 18 months ago in 
Amsterdam – amazing to think its still doing the rounds.

BATTLE ROYALE gets its UK release tomorrow. It’s going to be very 
interesting to see how it’s greeted.
