While of course caution is always needed in such cases and initial 
speculations can be wrong (viz. Oklahoma City bombing or the Tokyo 
Underground gas attack) the scope and  the professional organization of 
this operation make me feel almost certain that the most obvious suspect 
will prove the right one. The way the assassination of Ahmad Shah Masood 
was carried out also reinforces this belief. In a wider sense, it may be 
that only with this event we have entered the 21st century. The 
comparisons with Pearl Harbor are not entirely wrong. There are of 
course obvious differences, but Pearl Harbor did change the United 
States more than any other event since the war of independence. This may 
prove to be the another turning point.
