Hi Jasper,
two weeks ago, there was the "Berlin Beta 2001", here in Berlin, a "Festival
for Digital Media, Business and Culture". All six films of the project were
shown several times, and the whole project was described as
"a digital film project with six different films, all dealing with the
subject of 'love'. The production was developed by Trustech Japan and the
producer Ms. Reiko Arakawa, working with an open concept, where different
directors and scriptwriters were integrated to demonstrate throughout all
film genres the variety and possibilities of digital filmmaking. The 'love'
theme in the films finds a free interpretation and the spectrum of the films
offers a good chance to discuss digital contents and aesthetics."
Unfortunately I have seen only one of them (V. Q).
Yoga
P.S. I'm new in the list, so I'll give a short self-introduction: I used to
study Japanese and I lived in Japan for one year. At the moment I live in
Berlin, Germany, and work for the "Asia-Pacific Weeks Berlin 2001". Needless
to say that I'm very interested in Japanese movies.
