And the Miike shall inherit the Earth

Nagasaki has been around for a while and SHIKOKU wasn't his finest hour.
When I was a younger, more tolerant man, I was a huge fan of HEART BEATING
IN THE DARK, his Super-8 feature from 1982 with Muroi Shigeru. Rayns (who
programmes London) has always been loyal to Nagasaki so its inclusion
doesn't indicate whether or not its a return to form. It was recently
released in Tokyo so perhaps someone on this list has an opinion before you
buy your Tokyo-price ticket in London. I think British television may have
screened both HEART and THE ENCHANTMENT, his award-winning pyschological
thriller from 1989.
