DVD Players and regions

Thank you, Michiko Ito, for the link to DVDCity. There are many types of
DVD players available there, at an excellent range of prices.
One question (forgive my ignorance!): Does "code free DVD" mean the same
thing as "region free DVD"?
Can "code free DVD" players accomodate DVDs made for all regions?

Just a note. Region free DVD players are not usually available in local
stores. If you have hard time finding one, please try here:
