Interesting DVD news from Hong Kong

Panorama Entertainment Company (from Hong Kong), in association with Shu Kei's 
Creative Workshop (the source of a nice Tokyo Story VCD) is going to be 
releasing lots of classic Shochiku titles, including films by Ozu, Naruse, 
Mizoguchi, Kurosawa, Imamura, Oshima, Kinoshita, Gosho, Suzuki, Teshigihara 
and Kobayashi.

The first Tora-san movie (by Yamada Yoji) and Imamura's "Vengeance Is Mine" 
already seem to have been released -- and have English subtitles. No 
information as to region coding (the first two releases are apparently marked 
R3 but are actually all-region). Poker Industries and YesAsia both seem to 
have these in stock already.

I would consider this to be fairly exciting and encouraging news.
