Miyazaki Hayao's next film to begin production next year

Toho announced today the start of production in February next year on the 
next film from director Miyazaki Hayao, "Hauru no ugoku shiro" (Howl's 
Moving Castle).  It is scheduled for completion in spring of 2004, aiming 
for a summer release.
The film is based on a children's story by bestselling English writer Diana 
Wynne Jones, a love story between a wizard and an 18-year-old girl who has 
been transformed into an old woman by a witch's curse.  According to Studio 
Ghibli producer Suzuki Toshio, Miyazaki wants to make "a 
majestically-depicted war melodrama".(Yomiuri Shimbun)
