I've heard that three Japanese films are screening in the Panorama section
of the 2002 Berlin Film Festival:

All About Lily Chou Chou (Iwai Shunji)
A Painful Pair (Saito Hiroshi)
God's Children (Shinomiya Hiroshi)

A Painful Pair is a drama about a couple who can literally feel each other's
pain, both physical and psychic.

God's Children is a documentary about children in the Philippines who help
support their families by scavenging in trash dumps.
