And I don't think you'd work out who I'm talking about, Gavin.  It's not 
the obvious one.  What bothers me is the length of these people's 
careers.  There are people who've never sold a film in their lives who 
still get plum sales agent positions.  People who make very public 
predictions about industry direction who get things completely wrong 
again and again yet land endless consultancies.  One sign of hope is in 
new team at Berlin who are exhibiting a lot more confidence in their 
programming than their predecessors.  New Cannes and Locarno teams are 
still on probation after very conservative 2001 selections.  Looks like 
major change coming to Venice too.
