Restored Kurosawa on DVD

That has to be a first, at least for a live action release in Japan.  Many 
anime DVDs go for hyper-inflated prices, but this is the first time I've 
seen a film priced at over \6,000.  Do you know the justification for the 
price hike (if any)?  Multi-disc packages?  Comprehensive extras?  Vials of 
actual mud worn by Mifune Toshiro?
