Electric Shock Marriage!

For those of you who want some of the more juicy bits of Japanese film
news, the wide shows were all full yesterday (when they were not doing
World Cup news) of reports on the dengeki kekkon (literarlly, electric
shock marriage) between the actress/singer Nakayama Miho, star of Love
Letter, and the singer, novelist and film director Tsuji Jinsei (a.k.a.,
Hitonari), director of such films as Filament and Hotoke. Big news, as
reflected in the fact the 2-page newspaper extras, printed for the
result of the Japan-Belgium soccer match, had the match result fill the
front and the marriage news fill the back page.
Personally, I don't care that much. I never liked Nayayama Miho that much
and I prefer Tsuji's first wife, Minami Kaho, as an actress.
But perhaps some of you are electrically shocked!
