A recent article in the Asahi Shinbun on Sen to chishiro no 
kamikakushi (Spirited Away) taking the top prize at the Berlin Film 
Festival (2.18.2002) included a table of previous top prizewinners 
from Japan at the "3 Majors" (san dai eigasai) as follows:

I had assumed the list was more extensive.  Does anyone know of a 
list of second prizes, honorable mentions, etc.?
