thanks to Roberta for the info on Kawase.a few more questions to
KineJapaners.Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
1)Any recent novelizations of 1990s/ New Wave films you could indicate, apart
from Kawase's own novelizations of Hotaru and Suzaku?I think a novelization of
Eureka(or was it After Life?)was awarded a literary prize, but forgot
which.apologies for repeating a question raised before.
2)Kawase has organized the Kumie filmmakers'collective.Any other similar
entreprise by younger,or not so young filmmakers/film critics/producers,where
aspiring filmmakers can meet, discuss, produce, distribute their own films? Can
anyone on the list give some info on Imamura Shohei's film school?
3)Is there in Japan an organization similar to Women Make Movies, which
purchases,screens,distributes,sponsors,women's films?
4)What happens to Sento Takenori's Suncent Works,has been reorganized,renamed?
Their new website?
5)Finally,are Kawase's Tsuioku no dansu,and Kyakarabaa being released/featured
on TV in Japan any time soon?
Many thanks for responses.Livia
