Kiyokawa Nejiko

The news services have reported that the actress Kiyokawa Nejiko died 
early this morning. She was 89.

Kiyokawa was one of the most lasting comedy and drama actresses on stage 
and screen, first appearing on stage in 1928 and in film in 1933. She 
appeared in over 260 films during her long career. She was most famous 
for her comedy roles with greats like Enoken, Entatsu and Achako, but she 
also won awards for her dramatic work in films such as Imamura's 
Vengeance Is Mine and Narayama Bushiko.
