Some recent film festival news regarding Japanese movies:

On the 17th, it was announced that Sugimori Hidenori's _Mizu no onna_ won 
the grand prize at Greece's Thessaloniki Film Festival.

At about the same time, it was announced that Okuda Eiji's _Shojo_ won 
the grand prize for feature films at the AFI Los Angeles International 
Film Festival.
