Sawato Midori to Celebrate Her 30-Year Career as Benshi on 30 October with
"The Katsuben"
Sawato Midori will celebrate 30 years as a benshi on Wednesday 30 October,
from 6:30 p.m. at Cross Tower Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo. The performance will
be titled, "The Katsuben," and will be held as part of the 2002
Geijutsusai
festival.
The featured films will be director Rene Clair's debut work, Paris qui
dort
(Paris Asleep), and Bando Tsumasaburo's classic, Orochi. Both films will
be
screened with live music by Colored Monotone.
Admission is 2,000 yen in advance, 2,500 yen at the door. (Non-reserved
seating)
