Here some information on the programme of this year's Vienna International
Film Festival VIENNALE (October 18.-30.) that will present the following
films from Japan: 

KAWASE Naomi - A Letter from a Yellow Cherry Blossom (Tsuioku no dansu)
KITANO Takeshi - Dolls
MOTOHASHI Seiichi - Alexei's Spring (Alexei to izumi)
NAGASAKI Shunichi - A Tender Place (Yawaraka na hoo)
OTANI Kentaro - A Woman's Work (Torabaiyu)
PENG Xiaolang, OGAWA Shinsuke - (Manzan Benigaki)
SHIOTA Akihiko - Harmful Insect (Gaichu)

Jacques Rivette retrospective:
MIZOGUCHI Kenji - Gion Festival Music (Gion  Bayashi)

Ed Lachman Tribute:
Wim WENDERS - Tokyo-ga

There will also be two programmes from onedotzero with Japanese animated and
cg-shorts:

LENS FLARES O2  

This year's Viennale exhibition is once more dedicated to a Japanese artist:
"Yoko Ono - From my Window" presents most of her filmic work. There also
will be a screening of her film RAPE that received its world premiere on
Austrian television in 1969.
