The interim committee report from the Bunkacho on how to revive Japanese 
cinema has also been printed in the most recent issue of Kinema Junpo, 
their Best Ten issue (second half of February issue). 

I would urge anyone who has specific comments on the Bunkacho proposals 
to submit them to the Bunkacho. I intend to send comments of my own. In 
it, I will especially point out the fact that the proposals largely 
ignore the perspective of film studies, and thus the broader aspects of 
promoting and preserving Japanese film culture.
