CINEMA STUDIES

Illinois State University seeks a film generalist, who may have areas of
expertise in national cinemas outside of North America and Western Europe,
in film theory, or in the relationship of film to the other arts for a 
U/RTA
department offering BA/BS and MFA degrees in theatre.  The successful
applicant will teach film courses for both the film minor and the general
education program and will be someone who can work well within a large,
production-oriented department of theatre.

Lecturer or Instructional Assistant Professor.  Non-tenure track,
one-to-five year, renewal for no more than a total of five years.  9 month
appointment, preferably to begin August 15, 2003.  Salary commensurate 
with
qualifications and experience.  

MA/MFA required, Ph.D. preferred, in film or related discipline with some
teach experience.
