I don't know if anyone noticed, but there's been a tragic incident in
Erie, Penn. It's one of those incidents that, if picked up on, will
excite those who see a direct relationship between representations of
violence and perpetrations of violence.
A pizza delivery man was lead to an address in the middle of nowhere.
Someone forced him to wear a metal collar, and told him that the collar
was attached to an explosive device. He was ordered to a nearby bank
and told to rob it...or the bomb would go off. He followed the orders,
and when the police arrived he informed them that he was not robbing
the bank out of his own volition. Before a bomb squad could come, the
device exploded.
Sounds creepily familiar, doesn't it?
