If you could see any classic film on the big screen subtitled...

Tough call.  But off the top of my head I'd love to
see Kon Ichikawa's "Alone on the Pacific" and Masaki
Kobayashi's "Black River" on the big screen with
English subtitles.  My desire based simply on the fact
that I've never seen either film, and both directors
are filmmakers whose work I admire.  Ask again next
week and it might be different choices.  Or how about
Shindo's "The Island" with English subtitles...just
kiddin'.
