Onmyoji/recent japanese cinema

Kore-eda Hirokazu's AFTER-LIFE, MABOROSHI, and DISTANCE are probably my 
favourite Japanese films from the last few years. Together with 
Aoyama's EUREKA and Takahata's films (particularly ONLY YESTERDAY and 
POM POKO).

Can anyone recommend interesting Japanese filmmakers like Kore-eda? Are 
there any? (I'm aware of Kurosawa Kiyoshi and Miike Takashi, but that's 
about it).
