FACULTY APPOINTMENT in
International Communication (Media Studies)
The Division of International Studies is pleased to announce a teaching
position in International Communication at the level of Assistant,
Associate or Full Professor (tenure-track) in the Department of
International Communication and Linguistics, Division of International
Studies, International Christian University, Tokyo.
Position requirements:
International Communication (Media Studies)
Responsibility for undergraduate courses in media studies. Particularly
welcome is expertise in media and multicultural society, media and
globalization. Practical media experience is desirable.
Ph.D. or equivalent academic accomplishment. Fluency in both written and
spoken Japanese and English essential. Must be a cooperative and flexible
individual, committed to research and publication, who enjoys teaching.
Must show willingness towards administrative responsibilities. ICU is a
small bilingual university of high reputation in the suburbs of Tokyo with
a collegiate atmosphere and an international faculty. Salary commensurate
with qualifications. Starting date April 2005. Deadline for applications
