I recall there was discussion on Shuji Teruyama and where to see his
films on the list in the past month or so.

The short 27 min version screened on 16mm in Toronto on January 23rd,
2004 in a presentation called "Origins of Japanese Experimental Cinema"
curated by Ian Toews as part of the indie/experimental collective
screenings by Toronto's Pleasure Dome. The event was also sponsored by
the Images Festival. Also in the line-up were NAVAL AND THE A BOMB by
Eiko Hosoe (1960), MY MOVIE MELODIES by Junichi Okuyama (1980), A
BURNING STAR (short version) by Kenji Onishi (1996), FLESH by Tachibana
(1993) and SPACEY by Takashi Ito (1981). I believe that the films came
from Image Forum and might be doing a limited independent tour.

The screening took place at Cinecycle, a truly unique screening space
here in Toronto. By day it's a bike repair studio and at night it
doubles as a screening room with a booth containing 16mm, video and
35mm projection equipment. The space is run by Martin Heath who
overseas the massive film revision dept of the Toronto International
FIlm Festival.
