A Happy New Year to all KineJapaners !
Since Aaron said this list is not only about film but also Japanese media in general, I am trying to keep up the off-film topics (Sorry to those of You only interested in film ... ;-)
Since I got an assignment to translate an Japanese-Learning-Software into German, I am wondering if there is a "real" multimedia Japanese Learning programm out there. Unfortunatelly everything I have seen so far is almost the same as learning with a book and a cassette tape, the one I got to translate is no big exception.
Does anybody know of Japanese language learning sources where the learners use multimedial content, for example via interactive videos, using special internet pages or things like these ?
Since Japan is one of the biggest entertainment-software producers it is quite strange that no big effort has been done to improve the learning resources (the possibillities for this are there, it seems ...).
When teaching Japanese Language, most of the learners are very intersted in authentic Japanese media not only like film, but also TV commercials, radio weather forecast and so on. These have proven to make much better lessons than author-made stories like "John and Mary visit Tokyo". I wonder if there are only copyright-problems which keep the producers form using this content; technically it would not be such a big problem ?!
Greetings,
Sven
