There are at least four films based on works by Murakami Haruki:

KAZE NO UTA O KIKE (Hear the Wind Sing), directed by Omori Kazuki in 1981,

PANYA NO SHOGEKI (Attack on the Bakery) and

100% NO ONNA NO KO (A Girl, She is 100 Percent), two short films by Yamanaka
Naoto made in 1982 and 1983 respectively (the latter based on the short
story SHIGATSU NO ARU HARETA ASA NI HYAKUPASENTO NO ONNA NO KO NI DEAU KOTO
NI TSUITE), and

TONY TAKITANI, the new film by Ichikawa Jun which will be released later
this year.

The two short films by Yamanaka have been released in Japan on DVD with two
nice booklets (and English subtitles) by Cinemanbrain in 2001 and they are
certainly worth watching.
