Hello to you all.

My name is Emma Smith and i am a new member to KineJapan, so i just thought 
i would say hello.
A little about me? well, i'm 20, and a thierd year dregree student in film 
production. I am presently wiriting a dissertation on Japanese Cinema 
entitled "East v West: the cultural clash through Ringu and The Ring", after 
totally over-dosing on Japanese DVD's over xmas. Thus i have develpoed a 
vivid interest for Japanese film, especially horror, mainly Miike's and 
Nakata's (common) work, as well as researching into the history of Japanese 
Cinema from 1897 to present, mainly reading Donald Richie books.
I also produce independant films encourperating the Japanese style of horror 
film making, which brings me onto the main reason for my email.
I am currently on the hunt for any other avid film makers who wish to 
produce Japanese-based horror independant productions to form a little 
production company, cause my speciality lies in editing and directing, and i 
need a great cameraman, sound engineer and so on. Be handy if you were in 
the uk, but if you dont mind travelling or something....ah who knows! But 
hey, whereever you are, if you like japanese film making let me know!!!
