Just a note on looking for contact info:

If the director has done documentary or semi-documentary work, and thus 
has shown at or submitted to the Yamagata International Documentary 
Film Festival, you can use their online database of films to see if 
contact information is listed. In most cases, it is, although in some 
cases it may be contact info for only the production company, not the 
filmmaker.
