umareta wa mita keredo...

Hi everybody,

just saw Ozus early film "umareta wa mita keredo" yesterday and was very surprised and delighted what a funny film it ist! I mean, I sat alone on my couch and laughed out loud!

Anyway two questions remained: Is this film only available without music? Well, it is a SILENT movie, but usually, they have at least a music score, dont they.

In many scenes the heads of the adults were cut cut off. Is this a mistake of the laboratory which took the movie on videotape and choose the wrong section, or is this done by Ozu on purpose, to stress that this movie shows the world from a childs perspective?
