Or rather bodes well for a commercial release in 2008, given how long
MILLENNIUM MAMBO waited for its Stateside release after it's premiere
in Cannes 2001. How did that do at the box office? That make give a
bigger idea of how well Hou's film will fare with distributors in
Toronto. Although I imagine Shochiku will be keen to strike deals,
even at a financial loss, since it's a prestige product for them.
