Event -- suggestion

I was away from home for a while and only just had a chance to read through 
the flurry of activity on Kinejapan of the past week or so. I followed the 
discussion concerning the listing of film events with particular interest, 
and I'm glad that quite a few of you mentioned Midnight Eye as a good place 
for such listings.

As you probably know we already have an events calendar on the site. It, 
like the site as a whole I guess, caters mainly to readers outside Japan, 
and we've so far restricted listing events in Japan to the major ones plus a 
few that we knew were showing films with English subtitles.

Jasper has brought up the issue of listing more events that take place in 
Japan before and I must admit I've been somewhat hesitant to do so. However, 
this discussion here on the list makes it clear that there is a definite 
demand for some kind of central resource in English on the subject.

I'll discuss it with Jasper and see what we can come up with. Manhours are 
an issue here (Midnight Eye is still run by three busy people in their spare 
time), so I can't guarantee anything, but we'll certainly have a good talk 
about it.
