Don't forget the exploitation sub-genre of nasty RC (and
buddhist) nun films -- there are many. The Mother Superior
of them all is Suzuki Norifumi's Seij
«å Gakuen ¡ÖÀ»½Ã³Ø±à¡×(1974) aka "School of the Holy
Beast"/"Convent of the Sacred Beast". It's beautifully
made and boldly blasphemous. If you thought trampling on
the fumie was bad...

It's actually getting a very limited theatrical release in
Montreal (already finished) and Austin, TX by this
