I'm sure Celluloid Dreams had a lot more to do with Kobayashi getting 
selected than the memory of Truffaut.
Since we're on the subject of Cannes politics, how about the incredible 
vanishing act of Kohei Oguri, who this morning was announced as being in the 
line-up for Un Certain Regard, via an AFP press release that can be found
