A colleague from the University of Victoria and I will be
attending--she'll present on issues of space HK cinema, and I'll present
on issues of the gaze and subverted feminism in Japanese film. Neither of
us have heard too much from the organisers, beyond that accommodation is
available at the hosting universities, and transportation services between
the two locations will be available. I don't know who else will be
attending, or the overall scope of the conference (I imagine it will be
fairly large, given the anniversary that it marks) but the deadline hasn't
yet arrived, so it's certain that within a short while more information
will be available.
