I think an argument can be made that "Tokyo Story" is actually the _second_
Ozu film that drew on "Make Way for Tomorrow" as a source. In many ways,
"Brother and Sisters of the Toda Family" comes even closer to McCarey's film
(but replaces the old couple with a widowed mother and youngest sister).
