That's an interesting idea in itself.  We just screened "Dead or Alive: 
Final" at the local art theater on a double bill with Masumura's "Bogus 
Student" (Nise daigakusei, 1960), and a very heterogeneous audience was 
blown away by the ending.  The idea of "traditional Miike" is funny.  
Sorry to belabor the irony.
