There might be quicker routes, but always remember that most directors 
are listed in Eiga nenkan complete with contact information. Sometimes 
it's even their home address with home phone number. I would not 
recommend immediately calling anyone at home by phone, but send a 
letter or fax first. Eiga nenkan might also have the contact 
information for Eizo Tanteisha, which is Hayashi's production company.
