hello and crowds

One of the great wartime films with a  "crowd" scene is Makino 
Masahiro's Awa no odoriko. It is a period film starring Hasegawa Kazuo, 
but in its revenge plot, it is practically the crowd--all dancing the 
awa odori--that kills the bad official.

Makino seemed to like crowd scenes, so you can see them in such films 
as Ketto Takadanobaba (as the masses cheering on Kenka no Yasube) and 
Ahen senso.
