Kamome shokudo

Ogigami Naoko, who debuted with Yoshino's Barber Shop, directed her
newest film Kamome shokudo/Ruokala Lokki in Finland. The film
premiered last week at Espoo Cine film festival in Finland with Ms.
Ogigami attending the premiere. The film is about three Japanese women
who run a Japanese restaurant in Helsinki, and it has been an indie
hit in Japan with 350 000 viewers. It is an interesting case about
co-productions, as Ogigami used a Finnish crew and a also Finnish
supporting actors (one of whom had to learn some Japanese for his
lines).
