Questions re Manga-based Japanese Live Action Films

Even though I posted to the list too, I agree that it's probably 
better to reply to the original poster who then can compile a list 
for everyone else if the interest is there. The influx of mails in my 
inbox had trippled since the start of this thread.

I do think that movies made from manga plots are an interesting topic 
to research though. Considering the recent box office hits Nana and 
Death Note, these are obviously Japanese films that, unlike the 
majority of Japanese films, actually do reach a wide audience.
