Blue Ribbon and Yokohama Awwards

The 48th Blue Ribbon Awards, decided by the film journalists of the 
seven Tokyo sports newspapers, were announced yesterday. The winners 
are:

Best Picture: Patchigi
Best Director: Sato Jun'ya
Best Actor: Sanada Hiroyuki
Best Actress: Koizumi Kyoko
Best Supporting Actor: Tsutsumi Shin'ichi
Best Supporting Acress: Yakushimaru Hiroko
Best New Face: Tabe Mikako
Staff Award: Uchida Kenji (script)
Special Award: Okamoto Kihachi

Next, the Yokohama Film Festival, which tends to focus on more 
independent works, announced its awards for 2005:

Best Picture: Patchigi
Best Director: Izutsu Kazuyuki
Best New Director: Uchida Kenji
Best Script: Aoki Kenji
Best Cinematography: Yamamoto Hideo
Technical Award: Yamazaki Takashi.
Best Actor: Odagiri Jo
Best Actress: Tanaka Yuko
Best Supporting Actor: Kishibe Ittoku
Best Supporting Acress: Yakushimaru Hiroko
