Okinawa/Ryukyus in U.S. Films?

The first two that come to mind are Takeshi Kitano's Sonatine and Shunji Iwai's All About Lily Chou-Chou. In each of these films the characters travel to Okinawa and stay there for a time, meanwhile interacting with Okinawans...
