JAPANESE LITERATURE AND LANGUAGE

The Department of Comparative Literature and Foreign Languages invites
applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position in
Japanese Literature and Language. The position is available July 1, 2006
with service beginning September 25, 2006 and continuing through June 30,
2007. Duties include teaching undergraduate courses in Japanese literature,
culture, and language (upper division ) as well as undergraduate and
graduate classes in Comparative Literature. Applicants should have native or
near-native fluency in both Japanese and English and must have Ph.D. in hand
by September 2006. Salary will be $46,300.
