JAPANESE EXPERIMENTAL FILM SERIES

This series of Japanese experimental films, organized in conjunction
with a visit to Yale by Japanese film scholar and experimental
filmmaker Donald Richie, is divided into four thematically-organized
programs. Each program is made up of a group of 5-10 historically and
artistically significant short films, arranged chronologically and
shown in their original formats. Taken together, they demonstrate the
richness and diversity of Japanese experimental cinema over the past 50
years.
