Dear Kinejapaners,

We will have a big film event at the University of Minnesota called
DocuLens Asia, November 2-4, 2006. It is a documentary film series and
forum and our own Markus Nornes and Livia Monnet are involved.

November 2-4 we will have three days of film-screenings, Q and A with
filmmakers, and panels on doc filmmaking. Five directors will visit from
India, Japan, Taiwan, Tibet and China.

We are extremely honored that filmmaker Sumiko Haneda will be here in
person to screen and discuss her film Into the Picture Scroll? The Tale
of Yamanaka Tokiwa at Minneapolis' Oak Street Theatre. We will show two
more of her films during our weekly screenings held every Thursday this
semester.

The full schedule for the DocuLens Asia Forum and Film Series is at
www.doculensasia.umn.edu

We hope that you can come!

Best wishes,
Christine

If you would like a poster of the event, please email Jamason Chen at
chen0406 at umn.edu and we will try to get one to you.
