Kenji Misumi title

Dear All,

A query about Kenji Misumi - some sources list two films both made in 1969 with very similar titles. One is Shirokurae Magoichi, known in English as The Magoichi Saga; the other is Shiriboe Sonichi, translated as Barking-Donkey Sonichi. The latter, however, appears in very few filmographies, and I personally suspect that these are actually the same film, especially as the kanji for Mago has the on-yomi of Son. Can anyone confirm or deny my supposition and clarify the correct reading?
