Early Movies Depicting WWII

The first two after the war are documentaries; see my Japanese  
Documentary Films (Minnesota UP). Censorship kicks in with these two  
and you'll find mostly veiled references until the end of the  
Occupation; see Kyoko Hirano's Mr. Smith goes to Tokyo. After that,  
it's all over the place and from every political position you can  
imagine. Look at any book about the period and you'll find things.
