I was also sorry that i couldn't attend the final party. I was thoroughly
exhausted after all the panels and films, and so spent much of Sunday
wandering around Frankfurt, which is a beautiful city. The festival was
beyond my expectations. What a fantastic event. I think its very inspiring
that Alex, Marion and Holger were able to set this up and develop it over
the years whilst they were students.

It was also great to meet everyone and put names to faces finally. The
conference was very stimulating and gave me a lot to think about. I spoke to
a lot of you there about the new journal that Intellect seeks to publish on
Japanese films, and was very happy to get all of the feedback from you all.
It was hard to speak to everyone, so if i missed anyone who is particularly
interested in the project then please get in touch with me off list at
deanbowman.uk at gmail.com

I also interviewed Shinya Tsukamoto for Firecracker, and will let you know
when it is online.

Regards,
Dean
